About Oyak Renault
Oyak Renault Automobile Fabrikaları AŞ. was established in 1969 with the partnership of OYAK Holding and the French Renault Group, starting production in 1971.
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories was established to produce Renault branded cars in Turkey with a shareholding distribution of 51% Renault Group and 49% OYAK. It is one of the worldwide production centres of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance with its deep-rooted history.
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories is the largest integrated automobile factory in Turkey, producing its own chassis and engines. Oyak Renault Automobile Factories ranked 3rd in the ISO 500 list for 2020 based on sales from production. The facility has one of the highest production capacities of the Renault Group, with an annual production of 390 thousand cars and 920 thousand engines.
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories, consisting of a Vehicle Factory, Powertrain Factory, AILN-Alliance International Logistics Network and an R&D Centre, located on approximately 590 000 m2 area in Bursa, is one of the factories with the largest capacity of the 40 production facilities of the Renault Group worldwide.
As of the end of 2021, Oyak Renault produces the Clio, Clio E-Tech (hybrid) and Megane Sedan models for domestic and international markets. In addition to the engines for these vehicles and many other models, it also produces and exports other parts, especially gearboxes. The automobiles and mechanical parts produced by Oyak Renault are exported to more than 70 countries worldwide
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories exports predominantly to Western European countries but also to Eastern Europe, North Africa, Far East, South America and Middle East countries. It is one of the production centres with the highest efficiency and performance in the Renault Group.
Employing approximately 7 thousand people, Oyak Renault became the first Turkish automobile manufacturer to have its Quality Assurance System approved with ISO 9001 certification in 1996. Oyak Renault Automobile Factories, which received the ISO 14001 environmental management system certificate with "zero defect" in September 1999, continues its activities within this framework.
